La Société francophone de Maillardville est à la recherche d’une nouvelle équipe pour contribuer à l’organisation du prochain Camp d’été français, en juillet et août 2021 à Coquitlam. Pour plus d’infos, veuillez contacter: info@maillardville.com.

They are hiring one camp coordinator, one cultural and youth programs officer and four camp counsellors.

  • 1 Camp coordinator with enough motivation and experience to be part of the team working for the French summer camp with children aged 5 to 12 years old. June 7 to August 27, 2021 (12 weeks)
  • 4 Camp counsellors : bilingual students aged 15 to 30 years old with enough motivation and experience to work as camp counselors for the French summer camp with children aged 5 to 12 years old. July 5 to August 27, 2021 (8 weeks)
  • 1 Cultural and Youth Programs Officer : attendant to manage its Francophone Day Camp in Maillardville, which welcomes children aged 5 to 12 years old. May 10 to August 27, 2021 (16 weeks)

 

Some of the qualifications and assets are :

– You must be bilingual (French and English)

– Requires experience planning programs for children

– Maintain a positive and lively attitude

– Being able to make the programs fun and attractive while being a mentor for the volunteers and the kids

– Having a diverse knowledge relative to sports, swimming, activities, crafts, cooking, etc.

– Communicate effectively and professionally with the kids, their parents and your colleagues

– Being able to assert discipline in a safe environment for the children

– Budget management and administrative skills an asset

– First aid certificate is an asset

– Food Safe & High Five Training is also an asset

– Criminal record check is mandatory

 

Some of the requirements are :

This position is dependent upon receiving funding from Canada Summer Jobs grant. Applicants must:

– be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment

– be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment

– have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
